Vallisneria is a pretty easy-going plant that does well in a variety of parameters. They do prefer harder alkaline water and can even survive in slightly brackish conditions. Not as easy of a plant as something like Java Fern, but I highly recommend this plant. With stable water parameters it will grow and propagate very easily, branching into entire new plants on their own. Vallisneria grows fast and can grow up to 6 feet making it a great background plant.  Plant will come with roots, please bury the roots deep as these are very heavy root feeding plants.
