Ozelot swords make a great mid level to background plant. This plant does not need special or high intensity lighting, and can be kept in any freshwater aquarium. I grow my Ozelot swords in both a 75 gallon freshwater with angelfish and in a 15 gallon blackwater tank for one of my betta fish. Bettas love to rest on the large, flat leaves of the amazon sword underneath their bubble nests so this is a great choice for them. This is the exact plant my angelfish laid eggs on. Loved by many fish.
The Ozelotsword plant is very popular in the aquarium/aquascaping hobby for it's size, beauty and ease to grow. These plants can grow 20 inches in height when given the proper water parameters and lighting. You can choose to purchase it pre grown (large size, shown in blackwater tank photos in this ad) or purchase one that has been propagated and is still growing (small size, will still come with roots)
