Bacopa monnieri is a perennial, creeping herb native to the wetlands of southern and Eastern India, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America. It is known by the common names water hyssop, waterhyssop, brahmi, thyme-leafed gratiola, herb of grace, and Indian pennywort. Extremely easy to grow and can be trimmed and manipulated easily to make a bushy plant off of only one stem if given proper care and time. Many stems will already be pruned professionally at the proper length above the node to encourage bushy and healthy growth in the new aquarium.
